Çelebi Port of Bandırma sponsors the 4th National Education Festival.

The National Education Festival took place in Bandırma on 24-27 May 2011. This was the fourth such festival, which has become something of a tradition in Bandırma where it was first held. During the festival, 23,365 schoolchildren had a chance to show off their talents and abilities in such areas as drawing and painting, sculpture, music, dance, and sport.

Social and cultural activities not only have an important place in the educational process but also are one indicator of the level of a child’s socialization. As a result of the value that Çelebi gives to education and its sense of social responsibility, Çelebi Port of Bandırma was a sponsor of the 4th Bandırma National Education Festival.

Fifteen authors and artists from Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, Eskişehir, Soma, and Bandırma as well as folk dancing teams from Kosovo, Sofia, Balıkesir, Bursa, Çanakkale, Aydın, and Kütahya took part in the festival’s culture and art activities. During the four-day festival, 169 stage performances took place while 70 events were conducted in schools. At an award ceremony that was held, Çelebi Port of Bandırma personnel and human resources manager Cüneyt Küçükmeriç accepted, on behalf of the company, a plaque from Bandırma township national education director Şakir Demirhan that was given in recognition of Çelebi Port of Bandırma’s contributions to the festival’s success.
